Vector to the Heavens

The girl collapses into his arms,
Eyes welling up with gentle tears,
Telling him it’s better this way,
Telling him he did the right thing,
This was their last confrontation,
Their very last struggle together,

Her smile begins to fade away as
he weeps tears of confused pain,
Brushing her hair back, holding her
close as she slowly begins to die,
With her last few breaths, she
reminds him of a dark promise,

She had promised him a sacrifice,
For it was by fate’s cruel hand that
only one of them could even exist,
They were both remnants of the
same person, fragmented pieces
of one persona and one mentality,

Only with her death could their
fractured memories be complete,
Only with her death could they
become one and the same again,
She begins to turn into pure light,
offering him such futile comfort,

Slowly, her body crystallizes and
she drifts off into the night sky,
Becoming but one faceted light
among so many jeweled stars,
Even as her memories merged
with his, he cried out for her,

Such was her courage in the face
of an unspeakable and cruel fate,
This was her final act, a last gift
bestowed to a now grieving friend,
She had charted a vector to the
heavens before they’d even met.

Whatever Remains

The remnants of the night tend to linger in my clothes;

the scent of liquor won’t leave my vest,
nor will that girl’s perfume, who was trying her best
my favorite shirt still smells of cigarette smoke,
or the drunken breath of the older bloke
the unsynchronised beats of the music failed to entice me
no sweat seeped into my skirt, I didn’t set myself free
nor did I get lost in the ogling man’s eyes,
turning him down was his most unpleasant surprise
I didn’t come close to anyone’s lips,
that reeked of mistakes and unfortunate slips
I went home with a friend, who remained by my side
kissed him good night, let everything else slide

And the following morning, when only memories remain
I can wash out the proof of their existence, though to me, it’s all the same
Because at least I can make all these disappear,
while you, I cannot
you are always right here
in my mind, never to be forgot

#randomthoughts

I wish I was taller. People just seem to think I am short for some reason. I mean I know I am not the tallest dude on the block but really people am I really that short? All my guy friend are taller than me and although I am taller than most girls I know I still think sometimes being six-foot like home boys would be awesome. I googled  the stuff and read a few how to list and I don’t think it really makes a difference. They all say the same generic things you already know like exercise, keep a good posture, eat right and sleep right and all that jazz and I don’t think it’s working. It even says not to drink coffee drink or do drugs which I know lots of tall guys do (Well the ones I know anyways).Actually I haven’t been doing that whole sleeping thing well lately but it didn’t seem to be working before so I don’t think it is making a huge difference. I don’t know, what do you guys think? Any tips on how to get tall? Do you guys feel short too?
